In 1987, composers Roberto Anselmi, Claudio Maioli, and Stefano Torossi released Musica per commenti sonori: Per tutte le occasioni on Italy’s Costanza Records. The dozen original tracks of electronic production music includes “Nice Day,” “Vostra eccellenza,” “Black Boys,” “Tango primero,” and “Fever” on the opening side, with “Dolce far niente,” “Regata,” “Onda lunga,” “I ragazzi dell’estate,” “Rarco giochi,” and “Eccesso di velocità” on the flip side.

Two years later, Musica per commenti sonori: Per tutte le occasioni was reissued by Fonit Cetra, retaining the same title and track listing. It appears neither Strumentali: Per tutte le occasioni nor the original Costanza LP has ever been issued as a CD or digital download. However, the original vinyl LPs appear fairly regularly at sites like Discogs and eBay, with the Costanza version usually less expensive and easier to find (available for about 25 euros or so at last check).

Stefano Torossi released another album for Costanza Records in 1987, Musica per commenti sonori: Life Is A Trumpet, with Max Catalano and Antonio Sechi in addition to at least three for Italy’s legendary Fonit Cetra label including Strumentali: Capolavori and Strumentali: Un milione di anni fa, both with Antonio Sechi, and Strumentali: Emozionale with Sandro Brugnolini.

In 1987, Stefano Torossi also found time to produce a pair of albums that feature the music of Claudio Maioli, Strumentali: In giro per il mondo and Gruppo Sound’s Freschezza: Musica per immagini documentaristiche di vario genere  (Scienza – Natura – Animali – Archeologia).

Although both vinyl albums are long out of print, a sound clip from Gruppo Sound (otherwise known as Claudio Maioli) appeared in conjunction with a recent auction of the LP.

Stefano Torossi also produced Claudio Maioli on several additional projects including four tracks on Strumentali: La fatica di vivere (1988), eight on Strumentali: Romanticherie (1988), and one composition on Commenti Musicali: Children (1991).

Claudio Maioli has composed and directed music for cartoons, as well.

Composer-musician Robert Anselmi has also done several projects for the same library music labels including these four full length albums: Avventura for Fonit Cetra and Archaeology for Primrose Music, both in 1988, as well as Atmosfere classiche for Flower and Commenti Musicali: Easy Music – Fantasia musicale in 1995, also for Fonit Cetra.
