This is a doll I made for a Swap on the
Our
Pink Universe Board.
This was only the second swap I
had participated in.
The first swap I did was only switching her clothes and adding a few embellishments.
So this was really the first time I had done a full custom for
anyone.
She turned out better than I expected and my swap partner Melanie
Reeves said
she liked her.
Here
is what I started with

The volunteer is a Thrift Store doll who was looking
for a new home.
She has already been cleaned and her hair washed and brushed.
The top, stockings and shoes came from mixed sets.
I think the stockings came from an ice-skater figure.
supplies
After some brain-storming and a few trips
to the craft store this is what I gathered to start the project.

Clear nylon thread
Silver Ribbon
Blue Fringe - Just happened to match the top
perfectly.
Some silver beads and some blue beads
and a package of little rose beads.
Here
are a few before photos

Here
she is all Done

Though I didn't have a specific look in mind when I
started...
The finished doll kinda reminds me of Tina Turner.

The picture in the frame is a Before shot so that her
new owner could see it.

Smile filled in for fuller lips and painted vibrant red,
eye color change to blue
from green,
eye shadow from yellow to silver, eyebrows and lashes re-done.
