Angela was on her first grown up date with Dustin and the night wasn’t getting off to a good start.
She had made a special effort to look nice tonight. She did her hair up different and was wearing the strapless dress that she had taken from her sister.
By the way that Dustin kept staring at her hair and making a funny face she was pretty certain that he didn’t like how she had styled it.

She had tried to talk to him about her class work and professors hoping he could give her some advice on how to survive her freshman workload but he didn’t seem interested in talking about school.
She changed the subject to family during dinner feeling certain that he would share some stories about his little brothers and baby sister. But again he seemed uninterested in chatting.

When the meal was finished Angela excused herself to use the restroom before they headed to the movie theatre. She ran into her Mother who was just coming in to have dinner with some clients.
"I don’t know what’s wrong he just seems uninterested in
anything I’ve talked about tonight." Angela replied to her mothers inquiry as to how her date was going.
"You’ll just have to try harder to find something he is interested in." Her mother suggested.

When Angela got back from the restroom and Dustin suggested night fishing instead of the movies Angela thought it was the perfect opportunity to get him interested in the evening.
Unfortunately it didn’t go quite the way she had hoped. She had imagined cuddling under the stars while their poles dangled lazily in the pond.
But after and hour of dealing with slimy fingers from placing worms on the hook and getting the hook stuck in her hair more than just a few times. Angela realized that this wasn’t the romantic evening she had envisioned. |

But she wanted the date to end on a good note so she kept trying to get the hang of fishing, but the truth was, Angela was desperate to go home, her feet hurt, she had dirt under her fingernails and she was bored to tears fishing.
So when Dustin finally caught a fish and said, "Oh wow! Look at the size of this one, Angela!"
She replied with, "Does this mean we can go home now?"

Mary-Sue stopped in to see Lilith on her way home after dinner.
"I’m worried that your sisters date wasn’t going very well." She told Lilith,
"She might be a bit upset when she gets home tonight."
"Don’t worry mom. I’ll make sure she gets through this. First dates are never very good anyway, people expect too much from them." Lilith replied.
"Oh, and you’re an expert on dating now?" Mary-Sue asked.
Lilith only laughed loudly and said, "That’s certainly
something I’m never going to confess to my mother."

When Angela got back from her, admittedly lousy, date she was greeted at the dorm door by Lilith who sent her strait up to the showers and assured her that everything would be better in the morning.
But as Angela was coming back from the showers and still thinking about how bad the night had gone she was greeted by a toga wearing blond.
"Hello there! You look like a perfect candidate to join
our sorority!" She couldn’t possibly sound bubblier.

The Tri Var girls were in danger of losing their sorority status – so they had decided to ‘Raid’ the freshman dorms for fresh new faces.
They explained the pledge process to Angela and made sure that she would fit in with their group.
Angela was excited about joining and was feeling much better about how the night was ending.

"Our own kitchen! No cafeteria cooks!" Angela exclaimed, "How wonderful. I miss cooking! The cafeteria lady here won’t let me near her stove."
When the girls heard that there was a lot of cheering going on.
"Did you hear that girls, She can Cook!"
"WooHoo!"
"Congratulations Angela consider yourself our newest sister."

The Tri Var girls quickly got Angela moved into the Greek house and they raved over her simple grilled cheese sandwiches she made that first night.
They kept her so busy over the next few days that she completely forgot about her horrid date with Dustin.
In fact it was easy to forget about him completely, especially since he never called.
