The first week of college was going by fairly quickly and Lilith had begun to notice that though Angela would talk about going to visit Dustin, whenever she had the opportunity she came up with an excuse not to.
Angela had talked herself out of it again and was playing a game of Kicky bag with Lilith in front of their dorm when Lilith noticed Dustin walking up.
Lilith chuckled to herself when she noticed that Dustin was staring at her. She new her new look was going to surprise a lot of people and it seemed Dustin was one of them.

As soon as Angela saw Dustin she squealed with delight and rushed to him and jumped into his arms. She didn’t even notice that Dustin was so distracted by Lilith's new look that he almost didn’t catch her.
Lilith started to feel just a little uncomfortable when she realized that even with Angela in his arms he hadn’t stopped staring at her.

"Oh Dustin, I am so sorry for the way I’ve been acting." Angela said,
"I wanted to come and see you as soon as school started but I was so afraid that you wouldn’t want to see me."
Dustin tried to say something but Angela cut him off. "No, let
me finish. I never should have pushed you away. I know you were
only trying to be supportive."

"I should never have let my problems come between us." Angela said.
"I promise to never let that happen again." she continued, once again stepping over whatever Dustin was going to say.
"Can you forgive me for behaving so badly?"
"Of Course" said Dustin, "I’ve been trying to tell you that it
doesn’t matter. What’s important is that we stay together." |

A few days later Miles came to visit Lilith. She was thrilled to see him. They had been chatting on the phone often about the plans
for his wedding and how she was settling into college life, but she hadn’t seen him face to face in weeks.
She laughed at his reaction to her new look. "That’s almost the same look my mom gave me." she said.
Miles couldn’t help but laugh with her. "It’s good to see you." Miles said.

Miles got a little worried when he noticed several of the guys in her dorm giving him the evil eye while he was chatting with Lilith.
"Um, I know it’s not my place to ask this but…Are you dating any of those guys?" asked Miles
Lilith didn’t even look behind her but she blushed a little when she said,
"NO! Definitely not!"
Miles could tell that there was more to that answer, but he let himself get sidetracked when Lilith quickly changed the subject and asked about the wedding plans.
"Solvieg is insisting that you be one of her
bridesmaids" Miles said.
"She’s only doing that to make sure I dress nice," Lilith laughed,
"Tell her I was only teasing when I said I was going to
wear my biker boots to the wedding."

Lilith showed him around the dorm and introduced him to some of her friends. He noticed a change in her voice when she mentioned that her sister was out with her boyfriend. He was worried that they might have started fighting again.
"Is everything ok between the two of you?" he asked
"Of course," replied Lilith, but then she sighed and added,
"She’s not the problem. It’s just something I have to deal with on my own."
"OK, but you know you can talk to me if you need to right?"
Miles said
Lilith hugged him and whispered in his ear, "Thanks for
understanding."
