Sterling changed very quickly. He had brought all of his stuff over early this morning and had snuck back home before Cassandra could see him.
He came down to the arch just as the sun was setting. He took a deep breath and told himself not to be nervous.
He couldn't believe it was all happening so fast. Just a few short months ago she was engaged to someone else.

Waiting for the Bride |
|
Mary-Sue helped Cassandra put on Bella's wedding dress. Of course her mother's dress fit her perfectly. Mortimer had made sure that it was cleaned, pressed and fitted to match Cassandra's newest favorite
dress.
There wasn't an official wedding march. Mary-Sue escorted
Cassandra to the alter as soon as she was ready.
Then Mary-Sue and the rest of the guests took their seats.

The bride Arrives and everyone gets seated. |

"You look beautiful in that wedding dress." Sterling said as the last of the daylight faded and the yard lights came on,
giving everything a lovely glow.
"Thank you," she said blushing, "It was my mother's"
"Wow! no wonder your dad never had eyes for anyone else. That dress can make a man forget everyone else in the world - no, wait, I think it's just the woman in it that makes me feel this way."
Sterling teased her.

"Sterling I can't begin to tell you how happy I am right now." she
said.
"Are you sure this is what you want?," He asked giving her one last chance to change her mind.
"For the first time in a very long time I am listening to only my heart at the moment." She assured him,
"And I know you are the only man who I'd want standing here at
this moment."

Sterling makes sure she isn't going to
change her mind. |
|
They didn't wait any longer to make things formal. They exchanged vows and rings.
As the rose petals began to fall Cassandra and Sterling only had thoughts of each other and the future they were going to face together.

With this ring..... |
|
The guests applauded when the ring exchange was complete and the clerk made the official announcement.
"I knew we could get her straightened out Bella" Mortimer said as the crowd cheered,
"It won't be too long now before it starts to feel like a family around here again."

I now pronounce you Husband and Wife. |
|
The surprise celebration was a big success.
Cassandra and Sterling danced and laughed. Everyone commented on how happy they were and what a lovely couple they
made.
Alexander and Ginger secretly took notes on how they wanted their own wedding to be. They both new that it was still years away but they KNEW it was going to happen.
